Lucia Whalen is a Chicago-born and bred comedian, writer, and concerned citizen. Her clever, feminist perspective paired with a charming, self-deprecating storytelling style, makes her a favorite to audiences all over the country. She has featured for Alonzo Bodden, Chad Daniels, Langston Kerman, and Moses Storm among others, and has performed at clubs and venues all over the midwest, including Comedy on State, Helium Comedy Club, the Chicago Laugh Factory, Zanies, and Comedy Bar. Lucia is a co-producer of the monthly storytelling comedy showcase Ladylike at the Lincoln Lodge in Chicago and Fitzgerald’s Comedy Club, and hosts at Cole’s Bar in Chicago every Wednesday. She's been featured at Limestone Comedy Festival, Asheville Comedy Festival, Flyover Comedy Festival, Milwaukee Comedy Festival, Gilda’s LaughFest, and more. Lucia is a contributor to The New Yorker and is a cohost of the environmental comedy podcast What a Waste..
